Arsenal Agrees Fee for Polish Youngster Bielik

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has disclosed that the club have agreed a fee for Krystian Bielik.

The Gunners have reportedly agreed a £2.4m fee with Legia Warsaw for the midfielder, who has said the prospect of playing under the French boss has influenced his decision despite admitting German club Hamburg had made a better offer for his services.

The 17-year-old will have his medical at the North London club today with his transfer expected to be finalised over the weekend.

The Poland U-16 playmaker joined Legia from rivals Lech Poznan last July. He has labeled himself an Arsenal player for the future and will provide further options in the middle of the park for the French manager.

He told local newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza: “Certainly it will be harder for me to get through at Arsenal, but if I succeed in three or four years, I will be at the footballing top. After all, this is one of the best clubs in Europe and certainly better than HSV (Hamburg).

“I’m going to London to fulfill my dreams. I want to prove to the manager that he did not make a mistake by signing me.

“But it does not mean that my goal is playing in the first team right away. I’m not ready yet.”
