Wife of the Ekiti State governor, Feyisetan Fayose has condemned the act of dumping babies on refuse heaps which has become very rampant in the society.
Speaking during a visit to the Erelu Angela Adebayo Children Home at Iyin-Ekiti in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state, Mrs Fayose warned those that indulge in the act to desist as they are incurring God’s wrath.
“Those mothers in the habit of abandoning their responsibilities to their children or babies are incurring the wrath of God.
“ Mothers who are unable to take care of their babies should drop them at the motherless babies home through due process instead of dumping them on refuse heaps,” Vanguard quoted the Ekiti First Lady to have said.
She urged stakeholders to assist in taking care of abandoned children as government could not do this alone.
Fayose also expressed satisfaction with the condition of the babies at the Erelu Angela Adebayo Children’s Home.
