Feed mills for Fish,Poultry and Pigs:
There is a high demand for fish and poultry in the state but the milling industry needs to be positioned effectively. Conversion of poultry eggs into industrial use e.g. for the production of salad cream, mayonnaise etc. Conversion of cassava for industrial use for ethanol, glucose ,industrial starch for textile, drug s and also in the paper industry.
Oil Palm Production:
The state has more 50,000 ha of uncultivated and fertile land for oil palm production. Key areas for industrialization are as follows: vegetable oil, detergents, lubricants, insecticides, palm kernel cake etc. Rubber Production:
The state equally has over 30,000ha of uncultivated and fertile land for rubber production. Key areas for industrialization are as follows: plastic, tyre, shoe manufacturing, rubber gloves, aviation products etc.
Banana Production and Processing:
The state is endowed with fertile land for banana production. The closeness of the state to markets, international airport, two seaports etc makes it unique for this business to thrive.
Rice Production and Processing:
The state has over 30,00ha of uncultivated and fertile land for this project. The market for the produce is huge. There is pressing need to produce enough to address the shortfall in the market.
Cocoa Production and Processing:
Cocoa production will always be a success in the state because the soil is fertile. It is a ready source of raw material for the beverage industry.
Maize Production and Processing:
The state fertile soil is good for maize production. Key areas for industrialization are corn flakes, flour, animal feed, starch and other food products.
Deep Sea Fishing /Canning and Aquaculture:
Key areas for industrialization are as follows : fish meals, fish oil, fresh fish and shrimps, glue, lubricants, varnishes, shark fin etc.
