Arsenal are expected to be with their left back when they entertain Burnley in the English Premier League on Saturday,Information Nigeriaunderstands.
The left back was forced off with a suspected hip injury in the win over Sunderland amid fears he could be out until next year.
However, Daily Mail claims the 25-year old suffered a minor pelvic injury.
Gibbs faces five days to be fit ahead of the weekend fixture, but his absence could see Nancho Monreal replace him.
The Gunners are currently facing a precedent injury crises with several first team players sidelined for lengthy periods. Paul Lambert was left frustrated with his players as they succumbed to QPR at Loftus Road.
Charlie Austin’s brace lifted QPR out of the bottom three, but Lambert believes they were goals his team could have avoided.
“The two goals we lost were really poor – we defended badly,” he said.
“I think that game is the most we have had of the ball, possession-wise, but that is why I’m never one for stats – you’ve got to score.
The main stat is putting the ball in the net and keeping it out.
“We have got to be more clinical in the last third of the pitch but the two goals are disappointing because we had most of the ball.”
