He's the new kid in the block and already in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Bobby Shmurda was arrested for drugs...too early in his career to be involved in a saga like this.
The "Hot Boy" and other members of his GS9 crew were arrested at a studio in New York City on Tuesday night by the narcotics division of the NYPD following long term surveillance and investigation.
According to TMZ, Rapper Bobby Shmurda was arrested Tuesday night during a sting involving multiple shootings and drug trafficking ... TMZ has confirmed.
While the indictment is sealed and the specific charges have not been disclosed, his arrest is part of a long-term investigation conducted by the NYPD and a special narcotics prosecutor.
"These arrests were the result of a long-term investigation," Kati Cornell, director for NYC’s special narcotics prosecutor, told Wondering Sound. "The investigation did involve a number of violent incidents as well as narcotics trafficking".
Shmurda was under surveillance by police and was arrested while he sat in a car outside after leaving a recording studio near Radio City Music Hall in New York city.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in Manhattan Supreme Court on Thursday.
Shumurda have been arrested twice before in the past, he was arrested in October for smoking a joint with two friends while double parked on a Brooklyn street and was arrested again in June for possession of a weapon.
